MY NEW FAVORITE IN NEW YORK!

We had a really good day in the lovely, relaxed Greenwich Village in New York and were looking for a snack. We found Joe`s Pizza Laden Shop. From outside it wasn’t looking so nice but the phenomenal offer of pizza slices convinced us to walk in. For a few dollars, we ate several pieces of pizza – really tasty. For really good, cheap pizza to go – we highly recommend Joe`s. By the way Bill Murray, Anne Hathaway, Jessica Alba, Matthew McConaughey were already there and Leonardo Di Caprio seems to be a regular guest.

Okay, this wasn’t what it is about in this post. Because after you grabbed pizza, you should at least have a drink one block away and visit my new favorite restaurant in New York. The Baker & Co is surrounded by other bars and restaurants in the Bleecker Street, where the sidewalks are full during the night. But here you visit a little paradise amidst the bustle. The beautiful narrow shop offers seats at the window, a tempting bar with extended high table, an inviting dining area at the back. And a little further you find the little gem – the patio in the middle of Manhattan.

I am particularly impressed from the drinks and the excellent, italian-inspired food, the style and the relaxed service and easy going mood. Also the store is clever designed and can assimilate to every day time needs and and still remain true to itself.

My favorite drink is the Hopolicella. Simple but awesome – lager beer, red wine and basil. But the lunch and dinner menu sounds delicious.

PS: The best, as usual in the US they provide a happy hour – daily between 4:00 to 7:00 p.m.
