George is a man of ideas and willpower. Same when he fell in love with the Cricket Club – the old pub with guest rooms – in Melbourne and turned it into a fine hotel with an outstanding bar and kitchen. His feeling for what matters and ability to bring the right team members on board is crucial.

Not just the name reminds to the old days of the copper industry – THE COOPERSMITH HOTEL – also the selected materials, which look harmoniously modern and inviting are influenced by that. This is a work of the local interior designers Ross Gardam and Oak & Elm.

Melbourne is all about good drinks, refined cuisine and great atmosphere. So if all of the 15 rooms are booked – at least try to have dinner in the hotel and have a chat with George – he has a lot to stories to tell.
